Suspected bandits attacked a farm firm in Anchau town, Kubau Local Government Area, Kaduna State, killing a soldier and kidnapping two farm officials.
According to Newsmen, one of the abducted citizens is a Zimbabwean national, while the other is a Nigerian.
“They (bandits) assaulted and killed a soldier working in the agricultural firm, as well as kidnapped Mr Charles Choko from Zimbabwe and Yusuf Aliyu Bello from Kano state,” he claimed.
A villager who requested anonymity told Daily Trust that he observed a team of security officials searching for the victims in the adjacent jungle on Friday.
Calls to Basher Suleiman Zuntu, the Chairman of the Local Government, went unanswered. He also failed to respond to a text message sent to him.
When reached, the State Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Mohammed Jalige, offered to look into the matter and get back to us, but he had not done so as of the time this report was written.
