Ahead of the 2023 general elections, HRH Henrietta Efa Akpera, the female traditional ruler/village head of Cross River State’s Aka Efa Community, has asked the federal government to enhance its approach to address the nation’s insecurity concerns.
She stated that any attempt by the federal government to avoid addressing the nation’s current security concerns may have an impact on the outcome of the next 2023 general elections.
The king voiced concern about the rising prevalence of insecurity, which includes poverty, banditry, abduction, and killings, and urged the federal government to rise to the occasion and put an end to the threat.
The king declared that Nigeria can be great again, exactly like it was at the time of our country’s founding fathers.
She stated that unless anything is done immediately to rectify the situation, the much-touted 2023 general elections, in which every Nigerian has been eager to participate, will be a phantom.
The female traditional ruler encourages collaboration between all levels of government and traditional institutions in order for the country to win the battle against insecurity.
