A man named only as Adeyemi and a woman whose identity could not be determined were discovered dead in an unfinished structure in Angwan Gwari, Kwamba in Niger State’s Suleja LGA.
Ikechukwu Michael, a resident of the area who discovered the stink on Tuesday morning, told City & Crime that he went to relieve himself near the unfinished building when he noticed an odour pouring from it.
“I found the man naked while the lady was half naked,” he explained. The body of the late Adeyemi was already flaking. The lady was discovered face down. I raised the alarm following the discovery.”
He stated that police officers came at the area shortly after the finding and transported the dead to the mortuary.
Ogundipe Ayo, a close friend of the late Adeyemi, informed our reporter that when he called the deceased’s widow, who was unaware of the tragedy, she stated she hadn’t been able to reach her husband since Sunday evening.
As of the time of posting this report, the Niger State Police Command has not responded to the event.
