President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the construction of three new orthopedic hospitals.
Osagie Ehanire, Minister of Health, made the announcement on Wednesday at the State House during the launch of the Primary Health Care (PHC) Leadership Challenge.
The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) organized the event in collaboration with development partners.
Ehanire revealed that the President approved the location of the orthopedic hospital in three areas.
“The North-East has one, the North-Central has one, and the South-South has one; in Benin, Jos, and Jalingo, respectively,” he said, according to NAN.
Finance Minister Zainab Ahmed announced that states had received N471.9 billion as part of the $1.5 billion World Bank-Assisted States Fiscal Transparency Accountability and Sustainability (SFTAS) Programme.
She went on to say that all 36 states had fully integrated fiscal reforms into their public financial management systems.
