Prof. Olayinka David-West, associate dean of the Lagos Business School, has urged professionals to use technology effectively.
David-West made this statement at the Civic Center, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, Lagos, during the current Vanguard Economic Forum Series.
She contends that in order to revolutionize their businesses, experts from every sphere of the economy must embrace technology.
The academic also noted that business owners frequently exert a lot of work in vain, but urged them to be more effective, something that can only be done in current digital market with the use of technological instruments.
“Productivity is vital in anything we do. We waste a lot of man hours due to inefficiency. We track results rather than attempts. Technology must help us become more effective, according to David-West.
Additionally, David-West offered powerful strategies for digital transformation that might aid MSMEs in achieving economic expansion and development.
She pointed out that MSME must prioritize investments in strategy, people, processes, culture, business models, digital leadership and ownership, and agility in order to achieve full success and maintain a favorable competitive position in the global market.
