According to the Reports, the Department of State Services (DSS) has managed to apprehend a soldier who is accused of selling weapons to kidnappers in Abuja. According to information obtained by Legit.ng, the suspect, going by the name Nafiu, is a soldier stationed at the Tungan Maje Muhammadu Buhari Cantonment in Abuja, the capital of the country.

Nafiu was allegedly apprehended by DSS agents last week after they successfully lured him to Dankogi Park in Zuba with the assistance of local Vigilante Group of Nigeria members.

According to DSS sources, Nafiu typically charges kidnappers N200,000 or N300,000 for the use of his weaponry.
According to the source, “he consented when they were requested to get in touch with him for another arrangement to get them AK-47 rifles for N3m. However, he was detained by DSS agents while carrying an AK-47 that was fully loaded and ready to be traded for N3m in Zuba, which was the planned location for the transaction. All attempts to contact Peter Afunanya, the spokesperson for the Nigerian Army, at this time were unsuccessful because he was not texting back.

The Nigerian Army has, however, assured Nigerians that they will be completely safe during the upcoming presidential election. It was learned that a manual for managing activities during elections had been published as a brochure.

The protection of people and property will always come first, according to the Nigerian Army.
Another event is that the Chief of Army Staff has been praised for his leadership efforts by the Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism.
According to CATE, Lieutenant General Farouk Lawal dealt with insurgency and banditry throughout Nigeria. CATE reports that numerous initiatives taken by have yielded substantial improvements.
