The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has emphasized that corps members are not permitted to engage in political activities.
According to Eddy Megwa, the NYSC’s spokesperson, if proven guilty, such a person faces six months in prison or a fine.
Mr Megwa insisted that NYSC was apolitical since it was run in partnership with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
“Management hereby restates that the plan remains apolitical and impartial, with no affiliation to any political party,” the NYSC official stated.
