Gunmen suspected of being bandits raided and killed three citizens of Bali town, Taraba State‘s capital of Bali Local Government Area.
The alleged bandits also abducted an indeterminate number of persons through a nearby bush path as a result of the raid.
According to locals, the first casualty was Taraba Marshall personnel, a state government security outfit at a checkpoint near the general hospital, before they targeted houses, killing two people and abducting many more.
According to the source, the attackers arrived on motorcycles and fired into the air to intimidate residents and security personnel.
David Zaki, the chief of the Tiv cultural group in the Bali local government region, who has lost two tribal men, emphasized that those abducted are usually women.
According to Zaki, the attackers rushed the location around 11:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Two other seriously injured patients are being treated in an undisclosed hospital.
While describing the incident as horrible, the Tiv leader wants the government and security forces to rise to the occasion and prevent a repeat.
“This is awful; can you image the criminals having complete control of Bali town for more than three hours with no confrontation from security agencies?” “What a country,” he exclaimed.
However, police authorities have yet to confirm the occurrence.
